Building RPAS Programs

Philipp has built drone inspection programs from the ground up, twice. At two industrial inspection companies, he wrote the Transport Canada-compliant operations manuals and safety management systems. He also trained the pilots, chose the equipment and set the procedures that turn flight data into reports clients act on. His clients have included a global chemical manufacturer, energy and oil and gas operators, and a wind turbine OEM.

Capabilities

His work spans drone inspection of flares, tanks, stacks, wind turbines and exterior structures; confined-space inspection; infrared thermography (SNT-TC-1A); and remote visual inspection. A mechanical and embedded-systems background (CAD, 3D printing, custom electronics) means that when off-the-shelf equipment doesn't fit the job, he builds the payload or tool that does.

An Instrumentation Technologist with a Bachelor of Science, Philipp does his best work at the start of something: standing up new programs and turning them into high-margin operations.

Track Record

Helped a wind inspection department triple its yearly revenue.

Trusted by one client with $2.5M of inspection work this year, with more scopes planned for next year.

Built two RPAS service lines, growing drone inspection work from tens of thousands of dollars to millions.

Grew thermography and furnace inspection programs from $0 to six figures.

Built specialist support for other departments: RPAS-certified API visual inspectors, custom applications and prototyping.

Ask him what it takes to build an inspection program that pays for itself.
